I believe he is a Moyes type of player works hard but is always a threat going forward and will score goals. The commentator summed him up perfectly after taking a corner at Leicester that came to nothing. " Bowen sprints back into a defensive position, you wouldn't see Felipe Anderson doing that " Or words to that effect!

He didn’t have his best game yet still was unlucky not to score three times. To me it looked like they had the hold of the centre of midfield for large parts and we rvetwrtes to using soucek and rice to occupy their central
Midfielders and focussed our attentions on the left, using masuaku and cresswell as outlets.
I think that’s where Bowen suffers a little - he has the less attacking wing back and the non-attacking centre back supporting him, so in matches/phases where we are containing the opposition everything goes down our left as a route out

The ‘limitations’ of some of our support is saddening, since when has West Ham been a team of players with no limits? A club who buys players with NO LIMITS.
Maybe they should go support this new club they’ve imagined.....West Ham 2 Unlimited.

Don’t take it so negatively, just thought a thread about him would be ok.
True he has done well scoring, but his passing and crossing are not what they were last season. Also he takes plenty of shots that just slam into a defender, when I think a pass would have been a better option.
I think perhaps our fast attacking has it’s toll on our attacking players as there is no time to think, it’s all down the natural intuition and skill.

Bowen is what he is, a 20 mil footballer from the Championship, He's okay, but he's not Gareth Bale, is he. Has been a decent signing but is a limited footballer.

One of the first names on the team sheet, out of Moyes’s preferred starting 11 is easily the best finisher and along with Yarmolenko is probably the best at the club. Him, Antonio & Soucek are our only goal threats. I’d have him in the undropable bracket personally.

Out of all the players that we have he is up there with the best. Not only does he attack but he defends aswell. If he loses the ball he’ll try and get it back unlike some of our players.
